Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

PlannedPlay is operated by the editorial team behind plannedplay.com. The data controller can be contacted at editor@example.com.

2. What we collect

  • Usage data: anonymised IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referring page, and timestamps.
  • Cookies: strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function, plus analytics cookies (only with your consent).
  • Contact details: your email address if you choose to contact us or sign up to a newsletter.

We do not collect payment information, identity documents, or gambling history. Such data is exchanged only between you and the operator you register with.

3. Why we process this data

  • To run and improve the site (legitimate interest).
  • To measure which articles are useful (consent for analytics).
  • To respond to messages you send us (contract performance).
  • To meet legal obligations such as accounting.

4. Affiliate links

We earn commission when readers sign up with some of the operators we cover. The operator sets a cookie to track that the click came from us. We receive aggregated reports — never your name, email, or gambling activity. Commission does not affect the ranking of the top casino list.

5. Cookies

We use three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to work. Cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics — help us see which pages are read. Set only with your consent.
  • Affiliate — set by the operator when you click an outbound link. You can block them in your browser settings.

6. How long we keep data

Anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Email correspondence is deleted or anonymised within 24 months of the last contact, unless we are required to keep it for longer.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Have your data erased (the «right to be forgotten»).
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we are handling your data unlawfully.

Send requests to editor@example.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after that change is taken as acceptance of the new version.
